Microdat install new washer at Kirkstall Brewery
Dave Sanders the new head brewer at Leeds latest brewery is now producing its first new beers. The new brewery owned by Steve Holt of Vertical Drinks fame has bought and installed a small 8 barrel brewery with the assistance of a former Microdat apprentice.
The Microdat engineer allocated to help Dave install his new brewery was Microdat's latest fully skilled and coded pipefitter welder, Danny Walsh who has recently completed a traditional apprenticeship at Microdat and has passed the tests to be classified as a coded pipe welder.
Danny worked very closely with Dave to produce a very neat and professional small brewery which should now take over the long tradition of good beer from Leeds when the Tetley brewery closes later this year.
The new brewery has a full Microdat Cask Washing system installed consisting of a new CW30 modular cask washer, HWT500 hot water tank and pump set. This new system is now preparing the casks ready for the first new brews.
