Microdat plays in the Pro-Am Golf Tournament
Microdat entered a team of 3 to play with a professional at at the 2010 Maryport Pro-Am Golf Tornament on June 5th. Andy Humphrey & Mark Roberts with our guest Craig Hall from Thwaites Brewery, the professtional carded a 7 over par but the team was in very good form with a comendable 9 under par, the best we have achieved in the four years we have entered, although we were just out of the prizes. The couse was very dry and as the winning Pro said in his speech 'the couse was great but the greens had been ''Bikini Waxed'' they were so quick'. It was a most enjoyable day and every body had a good sun tan as the wind was getting stronger as the day went on.
Microdat play golf with Moorhouses Brewery
Moorhouses Brewery invited Microdat to enter a team into their annual Golf Day on the 16 June at Walmersly Golf Club near Bury, Lancs. Again the waether was fantastic, very hot and the greens were very fast. Andy Humphrey & Mark Roberts with Keith Booth & Dave Brown from Musks made up the team. Although the team did not come up to full potential we did have some success. Mark Roberts had an individual score of 33 points only a couple away fro top spot, which was a very good score on a very tight course if we knew where we were going !
Andy Humphrey did win the nearest the pin on the 1st Hole with a 6 iron shot to within 54inches of the flag, the hole was at 185yards.
Moorhouse's were great hosts and the watering holes very greatly appreciated and the buffett dinner was excellent, we all had a good day.
